What is Neurological Care?
Neurological care is the practice of medicine that focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
Our board-certified Neurologists at Zenith Integrated Specialists partner with you to provide individualized neurological care that fits your needs and lifestyle. By taking the time to review your detailed medical history and perform the physical examinations necessary, our specialists will explain your diagnosis and work with you to create your comprehensive treatment plan.
Our In-Office Services Include:
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
Surgical intervention in which electrodes are implanted into certain areas of the brain. This procedure is commonly used for movement disorders such as; Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Essential Tremor Disorder (ET), and Dystonia amongst other known neurological conditions.
Electroencephalographic (EEG)
The recording and measurement of your brain’s activity. EEG’s are most commonly used to check for seizure activity associated with epilepsy. EEG’s also used to measure brain-related conditions such as; Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and more.
Electromyography (EMG)
Electrical stimulation to the muscle will trigger a nerve response, the EMG will measure the nerve’s response to the stimulation. EMG’s are used to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them. This might be ordered if you are experiencing tingling, numbness, or certain types of limb pai
Nerve Conduction Study (NCS)
Similar to an EMG, NCS measures how fast and strong the electrical activity is in a nerve. The data received from this test can determine whether or not a nerve has been damaged. The test can rule out conditions such as; muscular dystrophy, pinched nerves, or peripheral nerve problems.
